I was happy to hear that Obama won presidency tonight, yet I can't say the same about everyone. One aspect that our media class has focused on is the new technological advancement in media, so I'd like to share with you a collection of Facebook statuses I saw throughout the night:

It was a battle of words tonight when Obama was elected. I was entertained by the responses from the Facebook world, and I hope this entertained you. Incase you're wondering what my status read, here it is:

I have always felt that the president is like a baseball manager, way too much credit when they win big or loose big. The power is in the American people who are represented by the Congress and that is the only true place change can come from. The president can lead in a crisis like Bush the first did in the Iraq war, or he can not lead in a crisis like Bush the second did in New Orleans. Our country will be fine with Obama leading us and would have been fine with McCain leading us, Palin I didn't think could lead us out of a paper bag.
A few of the comments show how easy it is to be an idiot when your anonymous. I never felt a quote in a paper carried value when it was supplied by an anonymous person.
And directly to Krista, feel free to go back to a country your ancestors felt was so crappy they left it generations ago, maybe you can make a go of it better than them. Dan if the only thing you are worried about with your 401k is it being taxed maybe you should look at your statement, I think you lost more money with our current financial plan over the last month than you than you would have ever been taxed. And for Nick he must really be impressed with Aboma using that euphanism.

This is funny/sad/terrifying. On the plus side, if all those folks talking about fleeing the country actually do, we'll be better off for it. Then they can enjoy being the illegal immigrants... irony's fun.
